What are custom fields?
Custom fields are a way to store additional information related to your contacts. The field and the included information is included with the contact in question, and can therefore also be attached to a review given by this contact.
Some common use cases for the fields are to bring in information about a product the contact has bought, the sales rep who has closed the deal, or a sales location. Custom fields can also be used as variables in messages and surveys, making them infinitely customizable.
Custom fields are also especially useful when integrating third-party apps to Trustmary. While bringing in the contact information from an outside system, you can also plug additional info into custom fields, and utilize them in Trustmary.
How to create and manage custom fields
In the video above, we go through the process of creating custom fields. The fields can be accessed from the Reviews page by clicking Manage reviews in the top-right, and selecting Manage fields.
In the menu you can create, edit, and delete custom fields. Editing the field will only affect the field, but removing it also removes the data associated with it. Check out the video below for a quick walkthrough.
