Q: Embed surveys into your site

Start by navigating to Surveys in Trustmary, and opening or creating a survey. <img src="https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/b25e2519e3e48800/889edc45-c3c4-4311-a663-180384_85nzsd.png" alt="" /> Once in the editor, click the Share Survey button from the top and in there, find the Embed into your website section. Here you can select the type of embed you would like to create for your survey. The code should work on any HTML site, and the process should be as simple as just plugging in the code and publishing the page. If you need more instructions on how the embedding is done, check out our platform-specific guides on how to add testimonials to your site. The process is basically identical to embedding surveys.

In the review import view, click on the Google button to bring out the business search. When you've found your business, click Connect to start importing reviews.

If you can't find your business through the search, you can always retrieve your reviews by signing in to your Google Business Profile. You can find this option under the "Not found?" header below the search box.

With our free plan, the reviews will be imported only once when first connecting the Google Busines Profile.

In our paid plans, Trustmary will update the reviews automatically for you from Google once a day or whenever you click the Import reviews now button.

Facebook reviews

In the review import view, click on the Facebook button to bring out the sign-in menu. From there, click Import from Facebook to sign in and start the import.

Reviews from other review sources

You can also import reviews from G2, Capterra, Tripadvisor, Yelp, Google Play, Booking.com, Airbnb, and Trustedshops.

What are widget views?

About widget views

Widget views are a metric in Trustmary that tracks how many times a widget's code has been loaded on your website (and in turn, how many requests are made to our servers).

So, basically everytime anyone visits your site and loads a widget, one widget view is counted towards your limit.

Widget views are counted on a per widget basis, and the amount of reviews displayed does not affect it. If the limit is reached, the widget is simply hidden behind a banner until the limit resets, and no reviews or information is lost. Once the limit resets, the widget appears again automatically.

Checking your widget view limits

To see how much of the monthly view limit has been used, navigate to your Trustmary Dashboard page at app.trustmary.com.

Look for the information box that reads Widget views this month. This is where you can see how many widget views there have been in the current month. Below the numbers and the heading you can also see the date when the limit will reset (the same day each month).

How to share your survey – Best Practices

You can share your Trustmary surveys with multiple different methods. In this article, we'll explore the different ways of sharing surveys, and give examples of use cases where the methods in question would be most effective.

Methods of sharing

Trustmary currently offers five different methods of sharing surveys to respondees. The methods are:

Email invitation

Sending the survey from Trustmary via email.

Embed on website

Embedding the survey directly onto a webpage.

Email signature

Attaching the survey's first question (Star rating, NPS, CSAT) to your email signature.

QR code link

A QR code that can be shared digitally or printed out on physical media.

Direct link sharing

Sharing a link to the survey that can be used virtually anywhere.

To change the method on your survey, simply click on the arrow in your according share button in the top-right, and select Edit share type to bring back the above menu.

Each method can be used in various use cases. Here are some examples we came up with to get the most out of Trustmary surveys for you.

Introduction to Surveys

Start by navigating to Surveys from the navigation bar on the left. Once there, open an existing survey if you have one, or click on the Create survey button on the top right.

Here you can edit and customise your survey to suit your needs, see the answers left on it, and take a look at the recipients you've sent it to.

On the left you'll see all the settings of the survey and in the middle you can see an overview of your survey. The view and paths change according to what you click on the left.

In the settings on the left you can set how the survey survey behaves. You can for example select whether to use stars or NPS as the rating, change the translations of the survey (and customise all the text for that matter), and edit the email with which you send the survey.

Sharing the survey

Speaking of sending, you can do that by clicking the yellow button in the top right. You can change the sharing method by clicking the three dots next to the button. Clicking the dots will open a dialogue box, where you can select the sharing method. Read more about the different sharing methods in
