Introduction
In this article we will be taking a look at on how to embed Trustmary's testimonials to a MyCashflow website. If you're looking for instructions on the same subject but for a different platform, check out our other articles in our Help documentation's Integrations section.
Getting the code snippets
Start by navigating to the Widgets section in Trustmary. In there, select a widget or create a new one.
In the widget editor, select the Add to website tab at the top of the screen. Here you'll find the code snippets needed to embed the widget.
What to do with the snippets?
Note, that the two snippets of code serve different purposes.
The first snippet, Trustmary tag, is a global script which enables the loading of the widgets. This script needs to be installed once, either with Google Tag Manager or inside the <head> tag of a website. We recommend installing the script with Tag Manager, as scripts installed like this are activated more reliably. For the installation process, check out this guide.
The second snippet is the embed code itself. This snippet loads a widget into where it is placed on the site.
Embedding the code in MyCashflow
Optional: Add the header script manually
If you already installed Trustmary tag with Google Tag Manager, you don't need to worry about this step.
It is not possible to edit the head element manually in MyCashflow, but MyCashflow support can do this for you. Contact them at https://www.mycashflow.com/.
Front page and similar pages
MyCashflow makes it rather simple to embed code such as ours to a site. Now that you have the embed code, navigate to the overview page of MyCashflow. From the overview, locate the Products tab near the top.
From the products tab you can either select an existing product or category to edit, or add a new one.
Once you're in the editing view of a product or category, scroll down until you see a text box titled Description or Product information. Look for a button with brackets in the top of the text box and click it. This turns on the code editing mode in the box. Don't worry, you can't miss it; the box turns black when the mode is turned on.
Now just paste the code into the text box and click Save in the bottom of the page. Once the changes are saved, you can take a look at your brand new embed by clicking the View store button in the upper right side of the page.
And that's it, you now have your testimonials on your site for all your visitors to see.
Order confirmation ("thank you") page
Embedding something into a order confirmation page is a bit more technical, but it can be done with very little prior knowledge by following the instructions.
See MyCashflow's instructions on how to find the confirmation page. Paste your code into the page file, and you're done.
