Embed surveys onto your website

Quick steps

  1. Open Surveys in Trustmary, and open or create a survey.
  2. Set the share method to Embed on Website.
  3. On the Preview & configuration tab, pick the embed Type.
  4. Click Get script in the top right, and paste the script into the page.

Start by navigating to Surveys in Trustmary, and opening or creating a survey.

Selecting the share method

A new survey asks how it will be shared before the editor opens. Select Embed on Website and click Save.

To change the share method on an existing survey, open the three-dot menu in the top right of the survey editor and select Edit share type.

Configuring the embed

The embed is set up on the Preview & configuration tab. The Type panel on the left decides how the survey sits on the page — Inpage, Fullpage, Button, Popup or Modal.

Getting the embed code

Click Get script in the top right of the editor to get the script for the selected type.

What to do with the code snippet?

Paste the script into the page. It works on any HTML site, and most website editors have an element called code, HTML, embed or similar to paste it into. Publishing the page is the last step.

Embedding a survey works the same way as embedding a review widget. Platform-specific instructions are in the Add reviews to your site category.

Wrapping up

Changes to the survey are applied to the embedded survey automatically, so the script never needs swapping. The embed type can be changed later on the same tab.
