Account settings

Account settings is where you configure everything that applies to your whole Trustmary organization: its name and default language, privacy and GDPR options, who has access, your brand look, sending addresses, developer integrations, and notifications.

Open the settings area and use the Account settings menu on the left. It has seven pages:

Page

What you set there

Company

Organization name, website URL, default language, description

Privacy

Privacy policy URL and GDPR-compliant consent

Users

Who can log in to the organization, and with which role

Theme

Logo, primary color, font, branding options

Email

Sender addresses, domain verification, reply-to address

Developers

Trustmary tag, API keys, webhooks

Notifications

Who gets notified and when

Below the Account settings group there is a separate User settings group, which holds settings for your own account rather than the organization. The two groups are the quickest way to tell the scope of a setting: everything under Account settings applies to the whole organization and everyone on it, while User settings affects only you.

Each page saves separately. Changes take effect only after you click Save on that page.

Company

Field

Notes

Company name

Your organization's name inside Trustmary.

Organization website URL

Your main site, e.g. example.com.

Language

Sets the default language of features, e.g. surveys. Changing it does not translate content you have already created.

Company description

A short description of your organization.

Click Save when you are done.

Privacy

Privacy policy URL – the link to your own privacy policy. Point this at your real policy page, for example https://www.example.com/privacy-policy/.

GDPR Compliance → Enable GDPR-compliant consent – when this is checked, respondents are asked for consent before their answers are collected, and your privacy policy URL is shown to them. Keep it enabled if you collect personal data from respondents in the EU.

Users

This page lists everyone who can log in to your organization. The heading shows how many seats are in use, for example Users (2/1000).

Each row shows:

  • Email – the user's login address
  • Status – e.g. Active
  • RoleAdmin or User, selectable from the dropdown
  • Delete – removes the user's access

Adding a user

  1. Type the person's email address in the Add user's email address field.
  2. Click + Add user.
  3. The user appears in the list and can then set up access with that email address.

Changing a role

Open the Role dropdown on the user's row and pick the new role.

Theme

Theme controls how your surveys and widgets look.

Theme

  • Company logo – upload the logo shown in surveys and widgets. Use the icon at the end of the row to remove the current file.
  • Primary color – the main brand color, as a hex value such as #1a3d6d. Use the picker or type the hex code. Restore default color returns it to the Trustmary default.
  • Get logo & colors from website – fetches your logo and colors automatically from the website URL set on the Company page. A fast way to get close, and you can fine-tune afterwards.

Fonts

Default font – choose the font used in surveys and widgets. The option Apply from Website inherits the font from the page the widget is embedded on. Note the limitation shown in the option itself: it does not work with iframe embeds, because the widget cannot read the styles of the parent page there. Choose a specific font instead if you embed via iframe.

Advanced settings

Option

Effect

Remove Trustmary branding from widgets

Hides the Trustmary mark in embedded widgets.

Remove Trustmary branding from surveys

Hides the Trustmary mark in surveys.

Don't generate star scores from NPS

"Survey NPS responses won't be shown as star reviews in widgets." Enable this if you do not want NPS answers converted into star ratings.

Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Email

Senders

The addresses Trustmary can send survey invitations from. The table shows the sender Name, E-mail, whether it is the Default, and its Verification status.

  • Click + Create new to add a sender.
  • A sender must show VERIFIED before it can be used.
  • One sender is marked DEFAULT and is used when nothing else is chosen.

Domain verifications

Verifying your domain lets invitations be sent from your own domain instead of a Trustmary address, which improves deliverability.

  1. Pick your domain from Choose domain.
  2. Click Begin verification.
  3. Add the DNS records Trustmary gives you to your domain's DNS settings.

Until this is done, the section shows No domain verifications. The How to verify your domain link opens the detailed instructions.

DNS changes can take a while to propagate before verification succeeds.

Survey invitations reply to address

If the respondent responds to the survey invitation with an email it will be sent to this address.

Set this to an inbox someone actually monitors — respondents do reply to survey invitations, and those replies would otherwise go unread. Click Save in this section after changing it.

Developers

Trustmary tag

The Trustmary tag is a small script that activates Trustmary on your website.

  1. Click Copy code.
  2. Paste it into the <HEAD> element of your website.
  3. Visit your site to activate the installation — the tag registers itself on the first page load.

The Read more link opens the full installation instructions.

API keys

For connecting Trustmary to other tools (Zapier, Make, HubSpot, your own integrations).

  • + Add new creates a key. Copy it immediately — the list only ever shows a masked version afterwards.
  • The table shows the key name, the masked key, and when it was Created.
  • Remove revokes a key.

Give each integration its own key and a descriptive name. Then you can revoke one integration without breaking the others.

Revoking a key takes effect immediately and any integration using it stops working. Check what a key is used for before removing it.

Webhooks

Webhooks push events from Trustmary to a URL of your choice in real time.

  • + Add new creates a webhook.
  • The table shows the Name, which events it listens to (All events), the Last status returned by your endpoint, and when it was Created.
  • A Last status of 200 means your endpoint accepted the most recent delivery. Any other value means the delivery failed and is the first place to look when data is not arriving.

Notifications

Control who on your organization gets notified and when. Toggle built-in alerts on or off and assign recipients, or create custom rules with specific conditions.

The page has two groups, each with a master toggle in its header and an active count on the right (e.g. 2 of 2 active). Turning the master toggle off disables every notification in that group.

System notifications

Built-in alerts. For each one you can toggle it on or off and click the recipient(s) link to choose who receives it. For example:

  • Every Week – a weekly summary email.
  • When Widget view quota full – an alert that your widget view quota has run out. Worth keeping on: widgets can stop displaying once the quota is used up.

Customizable notifications

Your own rules, written as a sentence: when this happens, email these people. Examples:

  • When Source equals Google, send email to 2 recipients
  • When to survey [survey name] a new response is submitted, send email to 1 recipients

Tools on this page:

  • Search notifications… – filter by name or condition.
  • All / Active / Paused – filter by state, with a count on each tab.
  • + Create new notification – add a rule.
  • Per row: the toggle pauses or activates the rule, the pencil edits it, and the trash icon deletes it.

Deleting a rule cannot be undone. If you only want to stop it for now, use the toggle to pause it instead.

Frequently asked

What is the difference between Account settings and User settings?
Account settings apply to the whole organization and to everyone who can log in to it. User settings apply only to you — your own name, password and personal preferences.

The Save button is greyed out.
Save becomes active once something on the page has actually changed. If you have edited a field and the button is still grey, click outside the field first so the change registers.

I changed the Language setting but my existing surveys are still in the old language.
Language sets the default for newly created features. Existing surveys keep the language they were created with.

My chosen primary color looks unreadable in the widget.
That is what the light-color warning is about. Pick a darker shade for buttons and text; contrast matters more here than an exact brand match.

The font is not being applied to my widget.
If you selected Apply from Website and embed the widget in an iframe, it cannot read the parent page's styles. Select a specific font instead.

Invitations are not being delivered.
Check that the sender shows VERIFIED on the Email page, and consider completing Domain verification.

A webhook is not delivering data.
Check its Last status. Anything other than 200 means your endpoint rejected or failed the delivery.
